Shortly after acquiring a commercial investment property we undertook refurbishment works on the communal areas and first floor offices of the property.

The property had a glass and aluminium front door which had suffered storm damage and the previous owners had replaced it with a standard domestic exterior uPVC door ‘temporarily’.

Since the original manufacturers of the aluminium doors had gone out of business we used one of our contacts to help us design and manufacture an exact replica of the previous door that matched the colour of the surrounding metalwork and was indistinguishable from neighbouring offices.

The communal areas of the property needed modernising so we removed the old wallpaper, re-plastered a couple of walls and repainted the entire area.

Upstairs was split into two offices which required:

  • New carpet tiles throughout
  • Repainting the entire first floor
  • Removing old branding from glass partitions and windows
  • New Office doors and locks
  • Replacement ceiling tiles to match the existing ones that were still good
  • Re-plastering one wall
  • Extensive deep clean

The old occupiers had installed new partition walls upstairs which had a substandard finish and we were required to make good these walls and install new skirting.
